Emerging Fashionista: Emma Stone

It's no surprise Emma Stone is climbing her way to the top in Hollywood. She's cute, funny, and ultimately a normal twenty-something girl. I love that about her. I just finished reading the July issue of Elle with her on the cover and the interview with Emma only made me like the actress more. I've read so many articles and interviews with celebs and they come off beyond conceited and full of themselves, but Emma seemed down-to-earth and actually quite real! Besides her sweet demeanor though, she is consistently bringing it each and every single time on the red carpet. I swear... I don't think she has been to an event or awards ceremony this past year and looked bad. She is always dressed impeccably head to toe. Check out some of my favorite looks of Emma below!  XO, Liza

Emma as Carrie Bradshaw- I adore this photo SO much. Emma looks absolutely adorable and I love the  Sex and the City tribute from the opening of the show. I believe this was from Glamour, but I'm not positive.
Emma in Pucci- Gorgeous!! How could you not love this look?
And the back? Completes the dress in my opinion.
Emma in Calvin Klein Collection- Hands down, one of my favorites from this year's Golden Globes. She looked so mature and sleek in that dress. In love with her hair pulled back and the minimal jewelry. Whoever styled her did an unbelievable job!
Emma in Louis Vuitton- This dress may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think Emma pulled it off. I love it paired with the grey suede booties.
Emma in Preen- Stunning!!! The make-up, the dress, the hair, the shoes? This whole look is perfection. I am in love with the hot pink pop of her lips against the baby blue dress.
Emma in Chanel Haute Couture- What a dress! This girl is killing it!
Emma in Louis Vuitton- My favorite dress Emma has EVER worn. This is just amazing. I'd kill to wear this piece.
Emma in Lanvin- I'm not that crazy about the actual dress, but I do think Emma looks gorgeous. I love her hair tucked under and the simple make-up. That belt too ties the whole thing together. I'm not a belt person whatsoever, but I do like it in this look.

Emma in Chanel 2011 Spring/Summer RTW- Simply stunning. I would have loved though to see the dress without the little jacket because it is so beautiful. This is a dramatic look for Emma, yet elegant at the same time.
Emma in Roksanda Illicinic- This dress reminds me of something Proenza Schouler would have done years ago. It's cute, yet still very fashion forward with the construction of the skirt and all.

Inspired By: Taxi Driver

So this past month, I have subconsciously been channeling Jodi Foster's character, Iris, from the 1976 movie, Taxi Driver. Whether I am wearing high waisted leggings and my plaid cropped Rachel Antonoff Byrnsie blouse or a button down tied in a knot,  high waisted denim shorts and wedges, I am most definitely feeling this look for the summer. It's super easy, fun, and a no brainer. Nothing is worse then thinking about your outfit too much! Then it ends up looking pretty terrible, ya know? Well anyways, I picked out a bunch of items, ranging from crop tops to sunglasses that you can really bring out your inner seventies wild child. Hope you enjoy! Happy Friday! XO, Liza

Thank you to Refinery 29 Chicago for featuring fashion over groceries in 10 Things To Know This Weekend!

Jodi Foster in Taxi Driver
Teacher's Pet Tie Blouse, $40. At only 40 bucks, this little tie up sleeveless blouse is perfect for those crazy hot days when all you want to throw on is a light tank top and cut offs! Love the apple print too!
Tough Love Shorts, $38. Every girl should own a pair of denim shorts for summer, but I think we should also own these too! TOO CUTE.
Vintage Christian Dior 2056 Butterfly Sunglasses. These sunglasses will truly haunt me until they are in the drawers in my bedroom of my apartment. Ugh! They are beyond gorgeous. They do pop up on e-bay from time to time, but at a rather steep price. Hmmm.... one day I will finally give in!
Lucy in Disguise Antibes Sailor Romper, $175. If there is anything that SCREAMS 1970's in this post, it's this adorable romper that was just put up on Shopbop today! I am a sucker for rompers, so I know I would wear this to death! Love it.
Jeffrey Campbell Suebee Black Patent Platform Sandals, $129. I absolutely adore these sandals! I am not the biggest sandal person, as I usually just wear flats in the summer, but these are an exception! Oh and they are a wedge too!
Rekiem Chambray Tie Shirt, $79. Simple, yet chic... pairing it with a skirt, jeans, shorts, etc.
Rachel Antonoff Pastel Plaid Bra Top, $140. I have the cropped tie up top version of this, but is it crazy I want the bra too? I'd wear this at the beach with shorts and a huge sun hat. Done and done.

Karen Walker Number Six Sunglasses, $180. These glasses are just classic. Love the tortoise and the
shape. Perfect.

I Wear My Sunglasses at Night...

If you previously followed I Live For It, you might have noticed my insane obsession with eyewear. I can never get enough. I treat my sunglasses as a key part of each outfit I wear. Let's just say I really never wear the same pair two days in a row. Ha! I have drawers full of sunglasses and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon! I used to collect Madame Alexander dolls as a kid... now I collect sunglasses. Hey, it could be worse, right? At least I'm not hoarding Hermes bags! ;) Check me out below wearing some of my favorite pairs. XO, Liza

Chanel Round Half Tint Sunglasses- Probably my all time favorite pair. I've debated selling these, as I have seen them on e-bay going for a grand, but I don't think I could go through with it! They are too amazing. You may have seen them on Nicole Richie or the Olsen twins.
Vintage YSL Sunglasses- Got these on e-bay for practically nothing! They are a bit Elton John esque, no? Hahaha! I do adore them though. I mostly wear them during the summer. They look perfect with a little sundress or my Grey Ant High Waisted Shorts and a unitard.
Anglo American Heart Sunglasses- Every girl should own a pair of heart shaped sunglasses in my opinion. They really spruce up an outfit, especially in bright red.
Vintage Christian Dior Sunglasses- I actually found this gem of a pair at Barney's! They sell a line there called Retro Sun (http://www.retrosun.co.uk/) that consists of glasses from the 70's and 80's. Right up my alley! I've only had these for a few years, but I have honestly worn them to death. They look amazing with anything.
Karen Walker Jonestown Sunglasses- Karen Walker truly makes some of the best sunglasses out there. She has a TON of different designs, so it really makes it hard to choose, especially this season! The glasses are spectacular.
Illesteva Leonard Snake Acetate Sunglasses- Looooving Illesteva sunglasses at the moment. Not only are they reasonable compared to the typical pair of pricey designer glasses, but they are beyond chic! I am coveting at least two more pairs from the line.
Grey Ant Status Sunglasses- These sunglasses are almost a take on the Ray Ban Wayfarer, but times four! I don't wear these ones that often, but when I do, people are always complimenting me on the massive frames.
Vintage Ted Lapidus Sunglasses- Ahh Ted Lapidus... how I love you. The French fashion designer from the 1970's was known as the first to put military style shoulder straps on womens and mens clothing. Lapidus was also known for his whimsical massive sized sunglasses, which I guess you can say I am obsessed with. I have a tortoise pair as well, but the red ones are my fave. You can usually find Ted glasses on e-bay and other vintage sites.
Marc Jacobs Aviator Sunglasses- Probably one of my first pairs of nice sunglasses. These are great for lounging by the pool or beach, as I am doing right that in the picture!
Linda Farrow Vintage Sunglasses- I picked up these cat eye frames at Creatures of Comfort years ago. Who knew cat eye sunglasses would be the rage several seasons later? ;)

Strike a Pose!

Over the past few months, I've been working on developing my portfolio as a stylist. Ultimately, I would love more than anything to style for a magazine or even help people out with their personal wardrobes. Right now though, I need to get a few good shoots under my belt, so voila! Here is a recent one I did with Chicago photographer, Mireya Acierto. I was a little nervous going into it, but I think the photos turned out quite well. Hope you guys enjoy them! More shoots to come! XO, Liza
