Alexa Chung for Madewell

If there is one must have collaboration line this fall, it is most definitely Alexa Chung for Madewell. Having designed a few years ago for the New York based company, Alexa is back with a killer array of adorable dresses, peter pan collared blouses, and leopard print booties (Yes those will be mine). The collection debuts on Madewell.com September 22nd and let me tell you, I'll be logging on EXACTLY at midnight. ;) XO, Liza

Favorite Fall Trend: Cable Knit Sweaters

There are so many trends I am loving for this upcoming fall: chunky neck jewelry, loafer pumps, varsity jackets... the list goes on. One of my favorites though is the cable knit sweater. Although quite simple, this fall/winter item is a staple in any girl's wardrobe. Below I picked out a few of my favorites from some of my go-to online boutiques. Check them out! Hope you guys are all well. XO, Liza

Madewell Cable Knit Crew Neck Sweater, $98. I just ordered this one from shopbop and I cannot wait to wear it come fall. So cute and you can't beat the price!
Lover Cable Knit Sweater, $345. Everything Lover makes is AMAZING, so it's no surprise their cable knit sweater this season is killer. Love how slouchy it is and it looks so comfy!
Tibi 3/4 Sleeve Cable Knit Sweater, $253. Tibi was one of my favorite designers this past spring and her fall collection is pretty amazing too. This fitted cable knit sweater would look fabulous with a pair of skinny jeans or a flared short skirt.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Uma Cable Knit Merino Wool Sweater, $250. I have a bunch of Marc by Marc sweaters and they are indeed great. This is a fun color for a change and I am liking the scoop neck a lot.
Carven Short Cable Sweater, $560. Gah! Drool! Carven is one of my favorite designers hands down and the designer, Guillaume Henry is taking the fashion world by storm. I am honestly obsessed with all of his designs. This sweater is perfection and definitely my favorite out of the bunch. On the pricey side, but I'm sure it would be a worth while investment.

Pringle of Scotland Rope Cable Sweater, $1395. Gorgeous! Hey, we can stare and admire, right? Hahaha!

Photo of the Day: Nicole and Paris

Alright, so I may be a nerd that this is my photo of the day, but I can't help it. I was a huge fan of  "The Simple Life" and Paris and Nicole were once the cutest best friends ever. Here they are at a recent event "reuniting" and I am in love with it. They genuinely seem so happy to see one another! They probably don't have the friendship they once did years ago, but the looks on their faces are so sweet. Yes Paris can be a moron, but her and Nicole were truly perfect together. Such partners in crime... Hence this picture brings a smile to my face. XO, Liza

Yummy avocado salad for an appetizer...
...and Hoosier Mama Pie for dessert!

Liza's August Playlist

Can't believe that it's already halfway through August! Summer has really flown by, right? Anyways, before the month ends, here is a little playlist of mine that's been on rotation on my ipod. Hope you enjoy!  XO, Liza

Adore Colbie Caillat and adore this song!
Jessie J is a fabulous new artist on the scene. Her voice is amazing and I'm loving this particular song of hers.
Gavin DeGraw reminds me of when I was nineteen... my best friend and I constantly had his music on while we cruised around Chicago and Nashville. Definite nostalgia listening to his voice.
A great dance tune that's been on constant repeat for me!
A little 70's in the mix...
Going to see Portishead in the fall and I can't wait. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Love C.S.S. Their music reminds me of 2006 and always puts a smile on my face as cheesy as it sounds!
This Shirelles song covered by the late Amy Winehouse is insanely gorgeous. RIP Amy. One of my all time favorite artists.
Sara Bareilles has such a beautiful voice. Period. I love that her music is a mix of slow and upbeat.
Love the soulfulness in this 1960's hit. Makes me want to dance around my apartment all day. Haha!

WANT, NEED, MUST HAVE: Rag & Bone Wessex Booties

If there is ONE pair of shoes or boots I am coveting for the fall, it is these Rag & Bone Wessex Booties on shopbop. I am definitely not a thigh high boot or high heeled bootie type of girl. I most always prefer a wedge or a combat boot that is ultimately comfortable and something I can break in. These are just perfect! I've already added them to my "wish list" on the site, so I'm just waiting for the weather to cool down a bit so I can grab em. Do you guys like them? Hope you all had a great weekend! Today my man made an amazing brunch for some friends and I and tonight we are going to my parents. A food filled Sunday! XO, Liza

Photo of the Day: Too Funny

If I could wear anything at the moment, I think it would have to be this outfit. Not only am in LOVE with this picture (hence the photo of the day), but I am obsessed with the easy going ensemble. Girly lace top, knit shorts, and a pair of super sick oxfords. Geez those shoes are insanely amazing. In love. XO, Liza

Street Style Maven: Emma Roberts

Although I have already done a post on her on my previous blog, I Live For It, I can't help but get inspired everytime I see paparazzi photos of Emma Roberts. The 20- year-old may quite possibly have the best street style in Hollywood at the moment! I feel as if most of the time these celebrities look beyond contrived and are trying super hard to dress in things that they shouldn't be wearing. On the other hand, Ms. Roberts always look age appropriate, adorable, and VERY fashionable! I just can't help but love her! What do you guys all think? XO, Liza

Carrying a giant garment bag and shopping bag from Miu Miu! Jealous right? Haha! Love her little sleeveless shirt dress here tied together with an Hermes belt. I'm usually not a huge fan of belting dresses, but this works for sure.
Those heels! Such an amazing color.
This outfit would most likely look trashy on any other girl, but on Emma it looks too cute. Not many people can pull off knee socks and leopard heels!
She has such a sweet smile. Her bag here is to die for, as well as that gorgeous long white dress.
Running errands in a Topshop dress, patent leather flats, and a Miu Miu studded bag.
Obsessed with her 3.1 Philip Lim sweater! Love how she paired it with baggy jean shorts and espadrilles. Casual cool.
One of my favorite dresses from Opening Ceremony's spring line.
Cute dress after cute dress, right?
Love the Bliss Lau body chain with a simple solid colored tank and jeans.
This might be my favorite photo of the bunch. From her hair to her skirt to the little clogs, everything about this look is perfect.

Rachel Antonoff Fall 2011

Don't get me wrong, I'd take this warm summer weather all year long. Problem would be though I wouldn't get to wear all the amazing fashion come fall! That's number one of my list of exciting things for autumn... don't forget pumpkin spice lattes, apple picking, favorite television show premiers, etc etc. Anyways, one of my top favorite designers, Rachel Antonoff, has pretty much the cutest fall line ever. Ok, I guess all her collections get cuter than the next, but I am already taking note of the things that are must haves on my list. Here they are from Rachel's too cute for words lookbook. Which piece do you guys think I should snag first?  Right now I'm kind of obsessing over the pale pink peter pan collared blouse and the high waisted skirt! XO, Liza

 The perfect holiday dress!
What are those adorable tights? Are those cats on the knees? Those better be for sale because I'm a tights/leggings aficionado!
Awwwww! I love white dresses for the fall/winter. I don't believe in the "no white after labor day" rule!
Love the navy pleated skirts paired with those white tights.
 NEED!
So sweet. I love the little bows and the skirt of the dress. I'd pair this with my black combat boots and my black oversized Marc by Marc cardigan.

Photo of the Day: Mary-Kate Olsen

So everyone, I figured I'd start a photo of the day on fashion over groceries. There are SO many pictures I have on my desktop and in numerous folders on my computer that I save and always forget about. Therefore, I might as well share them with you all! Before I start digging into my archives, I just had to post this brand new one I found today on a favorite blog of mine, Olsens Anonymous. It's not a surprise I love the Olsens, nor is it for probably any fashion forward girl! They are amazingly talented mini moguls that are juggling all these companies on their hands, while still managing to look chic and polished every day. Ok, maybe not eveeery day, but in this photo, I am obsessed with Mary-Kate's entire outfit. From the bag to the vintage esque lace skirt right down to the Prada platforms? She looks so great. But MK, stand up straight! Hahaha! Posture is something I have been working on, so I think I've been noticing it on people lately! ;) XO, Liza
