Hi everyone! So sorry for the lack of posts as of lately. Have been a very busy bee with work, etc! Anyways, here is a favorite photo of mine from a recent shoot Bona Drag did featuring jackets from the The Sway, jewelry by ManiaMania, and an incredible bodysuit designed by Lonely Hearts. It is honestly my new obsession... ;) XO, Liza

Favorite Designer: To Be Adored
One of my favorite online shopping destinations, Bona Drag, is always on point when it comes to trends and ultimately amazing designers that you can't find anywhere else. That to me is very important, as many brands and designers become oversaturated and just lose that appeal. TBA (To Be Adored) is a line that hails from the UK, designed by Binbin McNiven. Freelancing before she launched her brand in 2009, McNiven kills it when it comes to sweet vintage inspired babydoll dresses. SO up my alley. I kind of want every piece. The soft colors, sweet cuts, and little details are just perfection in my eyes. I adore... XO, Liza
Lilac April Top, $180. This is absolutely darling, right? So cute! Such a great staple.
Dorothy Dress, $198. I think this is my fave of the bunch. My man hates it though, as he says it reminds him of Lana Del Rey. Haha! Well once I get it, I will change his opinion.
Very Mia Farrow-esque.
Art Deco Jeannie Dress, $198. This pattern is fantastic and you can never have enough sweet little pleated dresses with amazing collars. Looove this.
Amelie Burnt Orange Beaded Collar Mini Dress, $180. I'm never a big orange fan, but I love it on this dress! The beaded collar really ties the whole thing together too.

Favorite Style Icon: Chloe Sevigny
Hope all of you guys had an amazing weekend! Since practically EVERY fashion site and blog are covering fashion week, I thought I'd do a post on one of my all time favorite style icons, Chloe Sevigny. Hey, why not? She is unquestionably original, chic, and pretty much my favorite fashion risk taker ever. With such ease and confidence, Chloe never looks awkward or out of place. She OWNS what she wears and I love love love that about her. Below are a few of my favorite looks of Ms. Sevigny, as well as part one of a video she did for Opening Ceremony. I think I have already watched it a few times.. She is absolutely darling and knows fashion like no other celeb I've seen. Something to definitely admire... XO, Liza
In Miu Miu of course. Loved this collection SO much.
In Proenza Schouler. Gorgeous! Love those shoes with the dress.
Roaming the streets looking casual and cool...
Chloe in her own designs for Opening Ceremony. I remember when they shoes first came out. Amaaaazing.
At the Polo Classic looking ladylike and sweet.
Killing it in this ensemble. My fave so far...
Ok, this is frigin beautiful!
Adorable.

Photo of the Day: Charlotte for Wildfox
So I am completely and utterly obsessed with EVERYTHING about this photo. From Charlotte's wild pink hair to the colors of the bottles on the shelf to the cropped 80's rainbow top... pure perfection! The photo is from a series for Wildfox's Summer Collection, shot by Mark Hunter (The Cobrasnake, duh) and starring model of the moment, Charlotte Free. Could not be any cuter. Check out the full shoot here on one of my favorite blogs, Studded Hearts. XO, Liza

Hot Trend: Peplum
Peplum is a trend we will be seeing a lot of this upcoming spring. As I was flipping through the latest issues of Bazaar and Elle, I noticed the abundance of peplum in the must have sections, as well as the editorials. Although it's not everyones cup of tea, I personally think it is darling and I will definitely be picking up a peplum top or two come the warm weather. Cannot WAIT for spring already... Gah! Anyways, below I selected a few peplum tops that caught my eye. They are all veeeery different from the next, so I believe there is something for everyone. Enjoy! XO, Liza
Joie Aubrinna Matte Silk Tank, $93 (on sale). What a steal for a beautiful silk top, right? This one is simple, yet gorgeous. I adore the neck tie!
Carven Cotton Jersey and Silk Organza Peplum Top, $265. Ahhh Carven, you've done it again. I'm gonna need this one for sure. The pockets are too cute and the color is light and springy. Perfect.
Mulberry Metallic Crepe Peplum Top, $600. Such a great choice if you want something on the dressier side. Pricey, but a gorgeous investment piece.
Tibi Peplum Waist Striped Cotton Jacket, $495. LOVE this and I am surprised I do because it's not something I'd usually gravitate towards. It is so sweet though and I am obsessed how Net-a-Porter paired it with baby pink jeans and a fabulous necklace. I can see my sister wearing this too. Maybe we could share?
ASOS 40's Peplum Top, $44.76. If you are not ready to lay down a ton of cash for a trendy item, then this is the one. The color is nice and bold and you could do so much with this since it's so simple.
Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Leather Eyelet Peplum Top, $720. I saved the best for last of course! The whole entire Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony collection is my obsession for spring and this amazingly insane leather eyelet peplum top is beyond! Ahhh, if only it wasn't SO expensive...

New on the Scene: Victoria by Victoria Beckham
If there is a must have item on my list for the upcoming spring, it's a dress from the Victoria by Victoria Beckham line. Although I've never been her biggest fan, I was definitely pleasantly surprised when I saw photos of some of the dresses. The line went on sale yesterday at Harvey Nichols in London and pretty much sold out! Now I am just hoping this collection makes it way to the states sometime soon. How cute are the little shift dresses? Love the cat mannequins too! So darling and unique. What do you guys think of Victoria by Victoria Beckham? Yay or nay? XO, Liza

WANT, NEED, MUST HAVE: Tsumori Chisato Cat Buckle Belt
Ok, I swear I am not some crazy cat lady! I just realized my last WANT, NEED, MUST HAVE post was on the Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats, but I just couldn't resist sharing this belt with you all! I am in love and I must have it. Not only is it designed by one of my favorites, Tsumori Chisato, but the buckle is in the shape of the cat. BINGO. Now I rarely wear belts, but I would totally wear this ALL the time with my Siwy denim shorts in the summer. They have always been a bit big and in need of a belt and this one is calling my name... XO, Liza

Favorite Site: La Dama
It can be somewhat overwhelming these days with all the incredible online shopping destinations. I must say I barely shop in stores anymore because I can buy all the things I want on the internet! I definitely have my few usual favorite sites (Shopbop, Opening Ceremony, and Bona Drag), but I might just need to add La Dama to the list. Launched in 2009, Leticia Wiley is the brain behind this awesome web store. From popular lines like Mara Hoffman and House of Harlow to Aussie favorite (and mine too) Lonely Hearts, there is something for any girl here. The jewelry selection is absolutely amazing and with every purchase, you get a little La Dama Knit Rosary that can be worn as a necklace or a bracelet. Even better... XO, Liza
Lillian Crowe Pyramid Necklace, $60. I adore this necklace! I've had my eye on it forever, so I think I should just grab it already. I always gravitate towards trinket esque charm necklaces and this would fit right in with my collection.
Lonely Hearts Little Shorts, $120. Amazing. Enough said.
How adorable would they be with tights too?
Shape Shiftr Button Up, $48. Under 50 bucks AND on sale! This is just fabulous. I love the cut out shoulders and how long it is. It really would be great with everything... shorts, a skirt, leggings, jeans, etc.
Lonely Hearts Single Pleat Wool Pants. $234. Ok, these pair of pants are hands down my favorite item on the site. I kind of need them. End of story.
I love love love how skinny they are. So great with any pair of boots.
Luv Aj Carved Talon Bracelet, $160. I don't know what it is about this bracelet, but I love it so much. I have super small wrists, so this would be perfect since it's adjustable. Would love awesome with two or three other gold bracelets.

A Night Out: NEXT Restaurant
Now I know this blog is called fashion over groceries, but I just HAD to share my most recent dining experience at Next Restaurant here in Chicago. Chef Grant Achatz of the famed Alinea opened NEXT not too long ago and with a themed menu every few months, you can only imagine the hype around all of this when they announced they were doing one based on childhood. My man and I were dying to go and with tickets (yes you must have tickets) very hard to snag, it was somewhat unlikely we'd attend. My boyfriend is amazing though and was able to get two seats for us this past Friday night. What an incredible surprise! The Childhood menu at NEXT was so much fun and right up my alley, as I am such a kid at heart. We had a fabulous time, were beyond amused by each dish, and left quite stuffed. A wonderful time for sure. Hope you guys had a great weekend! XO, Liza

Too cute, right?
Yes one of the courses arrived in lunchboxes, complete with a thermos. Alf for my man...
.... and the Popples for me!
Before dinner, I posed next to the Christmas tree. We are enjoying it for a few more days before we take it down. So sad!

Street Style Superstar: Julia Frakes
Let's just say nowadays it is hard for me to get inspired by our so called "trendsetters." The Kardashians? Come on... please. Rachel Bilson? Been there, done that. You want to see a completely and utterly innovative trendsetter that takes street style to the ultimate? That is Julia Frakes. Fashion blogger for Paper Magazine and her own blog Bunny Bisous, Frakes is usually spotted at all of the fashion weeks, as well as in our favorite magazines (Vogue, Teen Vogue, etc). I think she is as cute as a button and I absolutely adore her style. I swear I could swoon at photos of her all day long. Her look is eclectic, quirky, and whimsical, yet always looks polished and on point. Perfection in my eyes. Take a look at some of my favorite snaps of her below. Happy New Year everyone! XO, Liza
Gorgeous head to toe!
Nerdy chic.
Julia sitting front row rocking her Rodarte X Opening Ceremony Sunglasses and Pamela Love ring.
This ensemble kills me. Who in the world would think to pair that Chloe Sevigny X Opening Ceremony dress with the matching tights? Julia of course...
Darling in her winter whites. I love too that she wears the crap out of all of her shoes. You rarely see that in the fashion world, as these people have a brand new pair on in every photo.
That dress!!! The gorgeous Pamela Love necklace. The Proenza bag. The red patent wedges. Droooooool.
This is just adorable in every way.
The variety in her ensembles is truly endless. I love the turquoise socks with this whole feel black and blue feel.
A girl that is not afraid to wear tons of color. That is a a true fashion icon to me.
This might be my favorite out of the bunch. What are those pom pom tights because I need them! And that little coat? SO cozy looking!
That coat is sick. Marni maybe?
Looking oh so sweet as usual.
